The thief on the cross chose Jesus with minutes to live. After fighting for a worldly kingdom his whole life, the thief joined God's Kingdom, the only place where eternal hope and peace are found. For him, Jesus became "everything instead of just something."

God's plan sometimes doesn't make sense as in the case of the children of Israel. After God's great deliverance out of their place of bondage they come face to face with the Red Sea and Pharaoh and his army in hot pursuit. Coming to the Red Sea is just as much a part of God's plan as crossing it. A predicament in God's hands is only a highway to the Promised Land. God allows these tight spots to get us to look up to Him for our help, when we do He takes us from our desperation to His destination.

God's presence is constant in the lives of His people. He is the great Redeemer who promises to guide and protect. He is in the midst of those who will follow His lead, whether that be by a pillar of fire by night or a cloud by day. "The road home may seem long but never forget, it is the road that will lead you home."

Passover is significantly important to remember and celebrate, as it serves to remind us of the dynamic and miraculous work of God, to bring His people into freedom from bondage. It foreshadows for us today our freedom from the bondage of sin through Jesus us our awesome Deliverer!

It is important to be devoted to God's Word and apply it to our lives. We need to have a craving and hunger for His Word because it's all about Jesus...it gives us life, changes us and it brings us into fellowship with the author Himself.
