In verse ten of Psalm forty six, God tells us to, "Relax and get to know Me." "Come spend time with Me!" God is in our midst. He cares deeply about us. He's going to see us through whatever difficult situation we may find ourselves in. Therefore, we can relax, we can trust, we can be still, that is when we truly know that He is God.

Psalm 32 reveals to us through the life of David how sin can entrap us, leaving us miserable and loaded down with shame. However, we can do as David did and seek God's forgiveness receive it and experience His deliverance and His peace.

Fear is one of the most oppressive emotions we experience. It rises up against us throughout our lives just as it did many times in the life of David.  David declared war on fear by choosing to practice waiting on God. We can do the same as we implement the spiritual discipline of waiting on God, trusting Him and leaving the situations that create fear, in His very cable hands.

God's desire is to develop us, grow us, and mold us into the image of His Son. In doing so, He deals favorably with us...deep within where no one else can see or touch.
