Paul continues in Romans fifteen to stress the importance of understanding that the Lord created each of us differently with different giftings. Are you living a grateful life? If not, ask yourself if you are living only for yourself. Are you living a life of hospitality? If not, ask yourself if you are living just to serve yourself. Peter exhorts us to live with a sense of urgency, understanding our time is short. Therefore, we must be diligent in prayer, love each other more deeply, be hospitable to one another without complaining. Serve one another with the gifts we have been given, speak the Word of God so that in all things God through Jesus may be praised and glorified.

Surrender and service always go together, the two cannot be separated. It's impossble to be surrendered to God, and not be all about serving Him. We can't be a living sacrifice and be indifferent toward serving others. God has placed gifts and abilities within every one of us for the purpose of unifying and building up His Body and to bring Him glory.
