As believers our mission is to be, imitators of Christ, and to be beacons of light exposing the dark acts of sin. As we walk in purity and truth we illuminate the love of God which draws those who are in the dark into His light.

We are called to do our part in building up the Body of Christ and as we do, at the same time we are destroying the works of our enemy. We do this when we think godly thoughts, speak the Word of truth and display righteous acts. When we show compassion, generosity and kindness we are sowing seeds of life in others.

As believers in Jesus, we have been given a renewed mind by the power of His Holy Spirit. We no longer have to be controlled by our former mindset and desires that were propelled by our sinful nature. We now walk in newness of life and are citizens of His kingdom.

Jesus is the ultimate Gift to the church and in addition, He has given to the church, gifts for service and ministry. We each one have a role to fulfill in the body of Christ and we are called to be ministers of the Gospel. As we do our part, we find our purpose and understand our significance.

We have been chosen by God to be on His team. He has called us to get in the game and not sit on the sidelines. He has given to every believer gifts, for the building up and edifying of the Body of Christ. It is important for us to see the value and purpose of the gifts He has given to us and use them, that the Lord may be honored and glorified.

In the remainder of Paul's letter to the Ephesians, he urges the believers to live out the grace and unity that Christ had given them. He exhorted them as he does us, to walk in a manner that honors God and walk in unity with one another.
