We would do well to check our own hearts to see if we might be guilty of the same thing. If anyone or anything is more important than the Lord in our hearts, we are guilty of the same evil committed by His people. Is your heart divided? Do you have one foot in the world? Where and who has your allegiance?

Isaiah has words of encouragement and hope for us today. We can at times feel weak and unusable to the Lord. However, the Lord through the prophet Isaiah speaks words that when we are feeling weak, and the flame of our faith seems as if it is growing more dim, the Lord will not throw us away or snuff us out. Instead, He will strengthen us and restore our usefulness. He will rekindle the flame so once again we will shine brighter than we ever have.
