The God of Elijah is our God too. Just as Elijah trusted Him to do the impossible, we are to trust Him to the impossible in the worst of our situations. The Lord is able to do exceedingly beyond and above whatever we could think or imagine He could.

When Elijah meets the widow at Zarephath she is down to her last bit of flour and oil. She believes that she and her son are at the end of their lives. But as she gives out of her need to Elijah, she experiences a miracle of unlimited provision of flour and oil. God knows your situation and whatever your need is, He will faithfully provide for you as you share, sacrifice and give to others in their need.

If you are experiencing a time of drought, do not lose heart. It is in these times of dryness, we see God coming through, meeting us where we are and faithfully providing for our every need.

The Lord is calling us to be an Elijah in our day, which means standing alone in faith against all that is against God. It means living courageously, knowing that our God is not dead but alive, is over all our situations and is sovereignly n control.

In order to live a joyful, peace filled life, free of anxiety and the fear that comes from the troubles we encounter, we need to put God on the throne of our life. We must believe and trust that He is sovereign and is bigger than any problem we face. He will always keep His promises and will always bring us through whatever difficult circumstances we find ourselves in.

The church at Ephesus neglected the most important reason the church exists...love. love for Jesus, the One who loved them first and died for them. We need to consistently do a heart check to see if we might be guilty of neglecting and leaving our first love. If so, we need to repent and rekindle the love and passion we once had for Jesus, the One who loved us first and died for us.

We are in a spiritual battle and as followers of Jesus we have been called to pick up and put on the armor the Lord has provided for us. If we use the weapons of our warfare, stand firm and commit to fervently pray, we will defeat the enemy's fiery darts thrown against us and will experience victory in the power and might of our God.

Ephesians chapter six causes us to see that the believer's life is a battlefield. We have an enemy of our souls that seeks to destroy us. The apostle Paul reminds us, to be strong in the Lord  and in the power of His might. We can be assured that no matter what the enemy comes against us with, we will be victorious!

Moses gives us great advice in verse twelve of Psalm Ninety. "Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom."  We must redeem and value the time we have been given, since we will never get it back. Lets make each day count for Him and the furtherance of His kingdom.
