This message speaks to us of the importance of responding correctly to discouragement. We like Moses may feel the heavy load of discouragement at times in our lives. Discouragement is not a sin. However, responding to it incorrectly can lead to sin. Dave shares three things we can do to help us respond correctly to discouragement. Implementing them...will cause us to stay focused, and keep moving us in the right direction.

Choose This Day Who You Will Serve Exodus 32:15-35

Monday Jan 18, 2016
In this portion of Exodus 32 we see the Children of Israel make a very bad choice! This chapter provides a powerful message to us, to not build an imaginary god based on cultural expectations. It encourages us to seek the One True God as revealed to us in creation, in Scripture, and in His Son. The One who came to earth and who is coming back for a church committed to Him and Him alone.

The High Price of Substitution - Exodus 32:1-14
Monday Jan 04, 2016
Monday Jan 04, 2016
The Israelite's make their own creation of God in this chapter. Moses has not yet returned from meeting with God on Mt. Sinai. The people have become impatient, which has led them to make a wrong assumption, (Moses is not coming back) which has caused them to go in a wrong direction, (building a golden calf) which leads them into deep darkness (worshiping a god of their own making) which leads to disaster. However, because Moses interceded on their behalf... for the time being anyway, God relented of bringing the disaster He had spoken of on His people. We can be just like the children of Israel...impatient, stiff-necked and we can allow our culture instead of God's Word to influence our decisions which do not lead to life.

Consecrated To Serve Exodus 29
Monday Nov 16, 2015
Monday Nov 16, 2015
We as followers of Jesus are all, "consecrated-set apart" to serve. God has chosen us and will provide all that we need to live out our purpose for His kingdom. We are to go about learning and doing the, "good and perfect will of God." We do that by doing what Jesus told His diciples in... Matthew 28:19-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

God's Amazing Details Exodus 26
Tuesday Nov 03, 2015
Tuesday Nov 03, 2015
Exodus 26 shows us how God is in the details. We see the significance and meaning of every detail regarding the Tabernacle and how those details impact our lives today...specifically the Veil that hung between the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies. When Jesus breathed His last breath on the Cross, the Veil in the temple was torn in half. It was if God was saying, "Open House!" "Enter In!", "There is no longer a barrier between you and Me, you can come boldy to My throne of grace, recieve mercy and have relationship with Me...I am your High Priest."

The Greatest Building Program Ever - Exodus 25
Monday Oct 19, 2015
Monday Oct 19, 2015
In this chapter God gives Moses the heavenly pattern for the Tabernacle, where His presence will dwell amongst His people.God lays out very specific details as to how His Tabernacle will be built, the materials and what the required furnishings must be. The design and the furnishings are an amazing and glorious picture that point to Jesus Christ!
11 But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. 12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.
23 Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; 25 not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood of another-- 26 He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.
