A Bitter Taste of Consequences - Psalm 137

This is a Psalm of lament. The children of Israel once enjoyed peace, liberty and freedom, now they are experiencing hardship, agony and the pain of captivity by the Babylonians. They had fallen away from the living God and He had allowed their defenses to be broken down and used a pagan nation to bring them to repentance.
