The writer of Hebrews informs us that God has provided for us a rest that we can experience on a daily basis. How that happens is by our willingness to obey and believe God and His Word. If we do, we will live a worry-free life.

Jesus our Sacrificial Lamb as well as our High Priest, has made it possible for us to come boldly to His throne of grace and receive mercy in times of need.  In gratitude for what He has done for us, we must honor our commitment to Him and to each other by stirring up, spurring each other on towards love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, until we see the Day approaching.

You may be feeling weary from all that has transpired in our world, with the pandemic, increased lawlessness, our failing economy, not to mention whatever personal trials you may be going through. The writer of Hebrews tells us to lock our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. As we do, we will be able to persevere, not grow weary or lose heart and finish our race that is set before us.

Do we use the resources God has given us to help those in need or do we hoard what we have for our own self-preservation? These verses help us evaluate if we care more about ourselves and less about the needs of others.

We can have a tendency to play God in our lives and in the lives of others and when we do, we plan God out of our lives. It's important to remember that life is short and it's in our best interest always, to let God be God in our lives, after all Father knows best.
